This was an evil spirit sculpture that was given to me by a Nigerian artist.My wife hates it and forces me to keep it in my office but it inspires me and reminds of playing those gigs in those local African dives. I think it will be my album cover when I become a bandleader.

This was a local jazz club in Kinshasa where I found myself being the default bandleader. Good times until President Kabila and VP Bemba decided to let the troops fight it out in the streets of Kinshasa in 2008.
